"An Elevated View of The New Dock in Wapping" by William Daniell, 1803, shows the congested ship traffic on the Thames 20 years before Marc Brunel began work on the tunnel between Rotherhithe (near shore) and Wapping (far shore, where London Docks had just been constructed).
