London and Malta, April 2012

At the British Museum we had three objectives: (1) Artifacts collected by Aurel Stein in his expeditions to the Taklamakan Desert in western China 1900-1913, (2) The Portland Vase, and (3) Mary Delaney's paper collages of flowers. This 6-7c head of Buddha, showing Western influenced in the features, was collected by Stein.
