A cylindrical box (pyxis) of ivory with hinged lid, commissioned by the second caliph of Córdoba, Al-Hakem II (915-976), for his concubine, Zoa, mother of a son who died young. It was in the collection of the Cathedral of Zamora, which used to be part of the Caliphate of Córdoba.
