The Iglesia Santiago, on the river bank near our hotel, is a reconstruction of a 12c Romanesque church, as is clear from the pristine brickwork. Our guidebook calls it St. James of Arrabal, "a Mudejar temple idealized following highly dubious restoration criteria."
