We'd taken a side route, via Plaza Magdalena, in order to get ahead of this march for women's rights. As they marched and beat their drums, they swayed side to side, as the bearers of a float in a religious procession sway, carrying their heavy load. The same drummers probably appeared later in Holy Week processions.
