Model of two blast furnaces. The water wheel at the left drove an air pump that supplied air to the furnaces, where coal or coke, limestone and iron ore were burrned. Those ingredients entered the furnaces at the top and molten iron flowed out the bottom. The furnaces were named "Daoiz" and "Velarde." One furnace has been cut in half to show its internal structure.
