The facilty stored five types of fuel: ship fuel, carrier jet aircraft fuel (high flash point), RAF jet fuel (low flash point), aviation gasoline, and kerosene for civilian use. Today, it evidently stores mostly civilian jet fuel for the nearby Malta International Airport.
