Street decorations in Floriana for the Feast of St. Publius on 21 April. Floriana is adjacent to Valletta, separated from it by the Great Ditch dug as part of the fortifications of Valletta built at the end of the 16c, after the Great Siege of 1565. Floriiana was fortified in the 17c.
