View of the Grand Harbor from the Saluting Battery at the southeast corner of Valletta. The promintory at the left is Birgu, with Fort St. Angelo at its tip and with the black Maltese Falcon moored to its right. The promontory to the right of center is Senglea, with Fort St. Michael. These two promontories were held by the Knights of St. John during the Great Siege of 1565.
