Note the bottom social class of this survey of London done 1886-1903: "Semi-Criminal". Nobody like that living around Grosvenor Square or Berkeley Squate! Note however how the middle of the blocks are often filled with "Poor & Comfortable", presumably to take care of the "Wealthy" facing on the squares.
