London and Rome 2019

Inside, we made a beeline for the elevator to the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Galleries in the triforium. Coming off the elevator, the first artifact we saw was this statue of Richard Terrell, Rear Admiral of the White, buried at sea after he returned to England from naval battles against the French. His memorial was unveiled in the Abbey in 1770 and showed him ascending from the sea to heaven.
