This monument recording Esarhaddon’s restoration of Babylon was not in the exhibition, but shows more clearly the cuneiform characters. It is basalt, and found in Babyon, the repeatedly rebellious state that Ashurbanipal destroyed -- again. Date 670 BC. Height: 24 cm (including base)m 21.5 cm (excluding base). Width: 11.3 cm. Depth: 11 cm.
