London and Dublin March 2018

After lunch we visited the exhibition "Living with gods: peoples, places, and worlds beyond". This lion-man was on loan from Ulm Museum, Germany. It is Upper Paleolithic, about 35,000 to 40,000 years old, and was carved with flint tools from mammoth ivory. It has been reconstructed from many fragments and is 1 foot tall.
