Herakles in the pose suggested by Polikleitrs, with left leg straight to bear the body's weight and the right bent outwards. The right arm, raised, wields a club and the hand stretch forward, holds out the golden apples of Hesperides, stolen as one of the "twelve labors". On his head he wears a lion's pelt, the typical attribute of Heracles.
