The Palazzo della Mercanzia, built in 1382 was headquarters of the Universitas mercatorum (Forum of Merchants) and of some Corporations. Starting from 1797 , with the French occupation, it became the seat of the Chamber of Commerce. Its library now holds historic recipes of Bolognese cuisine.
