The next day we took the train south from Nagoya to Tokoname, a center for both craft pottery and industrial ceramics. The big company in town is Inax, maker of sinks, toilets, and other ceramics. This map shows the pottery footpath over a hill that used to be home to many coal- and oil-fired kilns (now closed) and still home to many craft potters.
