Robert Yellin took us to see Renge-ji, a small, quiet temple near his house/gallery. It belongs to the Tendai sect and is a subtemple of Enryaku-ji Jitsuzobo. It was built 1662. A collection of old effigies is in the garden that precedes the temple buildings.
