Hurtigruten 2014

The entrance hall was constructed mostly at ground level. Its skeleton was two iron rings joined by vertical iron bars held by iron hoops. A double brick wall three feet thick was laid on the lower ring, with rubble and cement and the iron bars and hoops between the inner and outer brick walls. Eventually the growing weight of the walls caused the lower ring to begin sinking into the ground.
