The runner of a Trancis turbine, 1939. It was built for a power station in Manchuria, but WW II prevented its delivery. Francis turbines are used for heads between 20 and 600 meters. For the Manchurian installation the head was 69 m, throughput 147 m3/sec of water, 125 rpm, output 85 MW, weight 44 tons, diameter 4.6 m.
