The Temple of Augustus bears a dedicatory inscription "To Rome and Augustus, sone of divine Caesar, father of the homeland." The latter title, pater patriae, was awarded to Augustes in 2 BC, meaning the temple dates to between 2 BC and his death in 14 AD.
