A statue of St. Euphemia, the martyr whose relics are preserved in the cathedral. She was killed on a wheel in Calcedon in 304 AD. When the Persians captured Calcedon her relics were moved to Constantinople. Iconoclasts forced the dispersal of relics, and her stone sarcophagus was found floating in the sea off Rovinj (!). She holds a model of the city with her church.
