Our group ate lunch in the Rookwood Restaurant, occupant of the former Rookwood Pottery. In the background is one of the bottle kilns that have been converted into dining rooms. They burned oil that was stored in the red tank over our heads. Kilns in another building burned wood, according to the material we were given. There were 23 active kilns at Roodwood Pottery.
